Lifestyle EAP abides by HIPAA rules and regulations to protect confidentiality. Each time employees and their dependents access Lifestyle EAP services, either telephonically or by email, their privacy is strictly protected. Although Lifestyle EAP is an employee-sponsored service, the confidentiality of each caller is still guaranteed.

As licensed clinicians and mandated reporters, state laws require that the safety of each individual is a number one priority. Because of this, the exceptions to breeching confidentiality include disclosure of imminent harm to self, another individual, or child and elder abuse.
